In the first quarter of 2025, the top tabletop board games on the Android platform in South Africa showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. According to Sensor Tower data, these insights provide a snapshot of the market dynamics.

Ludo King® from Gametion saw a significant fluctuation in its weekly revenue, peaking at about $168 in the week of March 10. The game maintained a strong presence in terms of downloads, with numbers reaching approximately 27.5K by the end of March. However, weekly active users exhibited a decline, dropping from around 199.5K at the start of the quarter to 147.9K by the end.

Chess - Offline Board Game, published by GamoVation, experienced modest revenue increases, with a high of $14 in both late February and the end of March. Downloads showed a positive trend, ending the quarter with about 12.3K. Active users steadily increased, reaching approximately 39K by the end of March.
